Privacy notice

THRIFTSCOUT is running a limited pilot. Accounts, listings and orders are real, but no card payments are collected and no payouts are sent through the app. These policies are drafts and are not attorney-approved.

Pilot accounts

Your email, profile name, listings, listing photos, orders and notifications are stored with our database provider (Supabase). Listing photos are public. Receipt photos are private: only the scout who uploaded them and THRIFTSCOUT administrators can view them. Store owners see totals for their store, never buyer identities.

Optional analytics

If you allow optional analytics in Privacy settings, Google Analytics receives sanitized page visits and basic app event names so we can understand how the marketplace is used. Analytics stays off unless you allow it. We do not send item descriptions, private messages, addresses, receipt photos, or payment information. You can change your choice at any time from the footer's Privacy settings link.

The guided demo

The guided demo uses sample people and finds stored only in your browser. Demo records are not added to pilot accounts. Clearing this site’s browser storage resets it.
