Scout policy

THRIFTSCOUT is running a limited pilot. Accounts, listings and orders are real, but no card payments are collected and no payouts are sent through the app. These policies are drafts and are not attorney-approved.

Scouts and store inventory

A spotted listing is not guaranteed inventory. Scouts must confirm condition, purchase the item at the physical store, and provide a receipt before fulfillment.

Transparent pricing

Buyer totals combine shelf price, scout earnings, marketplace fee, shipping, and applicable tax. THRIFTSCOUT keeps the marketplace fee. Store purchases and scout earnings are separate from company revenue.

Before a live launch

Account eligibility, merchant responsibilities, payment terms, tax collection, returns, disputes, consumer protections, and governing law require review and approval.
